Title |
Cannon at Plaza, circa 1930 |
Description |
The building behind the cannon was built by Tony Thomas, replacing the old Gorman building. The Best Building, the Best Theatre and the Holmgren Building were across E. 14th St. The presence of the Bank of Italy on the corner of Estudillo and E. 14th St. puts the date of this photo at sometime between the fall of 1927 when the San Leandro State Bank was replaced by Bank of Italy, and 1930, when the Bank of Italy became Bank of America. |
