| Description |
Location was originally Spanish Road, later Oakland Road, now E. 14th Street. John and Mary Reid Haas and the two children moved in when the house was new. Mary and the children lived in the same cottage after John's early death in 1864. On the left is the home built by Henry and Eliza (Haas) Abernathy. Mrs. Haas continued to live in the cottage until her death in 1909, and it was still standing as late as 1951, at what was originally 55 Haas Avenue. |
