Columbia Gardens Saloon, ca 1890 |
NW of Alvarado and Davis. Regio, bartender. Careful examination of the calendar and wall pad in the picture places the date as November 21, 1914. Colored glass windows, ornate woodwork and the decorated walls were typical of salloons from the 1890's on through this period. Note, however, that Columbia Gardens has electric lights. |
